Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) therapy is a gentle hands on technique that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the bones, tissues and fluids in the body.

It involves using light touch to release tension and promotes relaxation. It enhances the body's natural capacity for healing. It has been shown to be effective with pain relief, stress reduction and overall wellbeing.

BCST can help release stored tensions and traumas stored in the body which may contribute to emotional imbalances. BCST can be a stand-alone therapy or in combination with somatic therapy or complementary (massage) therapeutic techniques.

Many people have reported feeling more grounded, relaxed, and emotionally balanced after receiving a session. It’s important to note that results may vary though from person to person and to follow the guidance of your therapist.

As a Biodynamic craniosacral therapist how do I work?

I have a supportive and non-invasive, safe approach when working with a client, Obtaining informed consent before the session begins is an important part of ensuring confidentiality and respect for the clients boundaries. I use gentle touch to support the body to naturally unwind and encourage the release of stored tension in the craniosacral system.

As a BCST practitioner I essentially encourage the body to release restrictions that it has been unable to overcome on its own. Rather than deciding how these changes should be made, I follows the body's response as to how to proceed. Following this gentle approach helps ensure the method is safe and effective.

A BCST session can promote relaxation, enhance overall wellbeing, and support the bodies’ natural healing processes. It can help create a sense of ease and balance both physically and emotionally.

BCST clears restrictions in the fascial tissues of the body. These are the soft tissue layers that are continuous throughout the whole body and envelop every organ, muscle and bone down to the individual cells.

As a light, hands-on approach, BCST harmonizes with the body thus encouraging and enhancing the body's inherent natural healing abilities. This gentle releasing of chronic tensions within the body can effect major changes in both physical and emotional well-being.

Past trauma or other psychological concerns may potentially have a negative effect on a person’s autonomic nervous system. People experiencing emotional and psychological issues may also be affected by physical concerns such as sexual dysfunction, hormonal issues, digestive issues, or tension in specific parts of the body such as the head, neck, shoulders, or stomach.

BCST can support the release of deep emotional issues not revealed through talk therapy, simply by paying attention to the communication of the body. BCST can help individuals become more aware of the body, become more grounded and allow the release of trauma and tension the body is holding. This results in creating space for the emergence of the natural health of the system.

BCST is safe to use with Adults, Elderly, Children, infants, teenagers and animals.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy takes a whole-person approach to healing.

The inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged.
